The Tilley Student Center: First Impressions

So I just spent a little bit of time in the Tilley Student Center reading for a DLP class. I had to show my ID to get in and I felt a little like I was Joshua walking around Jericho. However just like Jericho it was my only way into the promised land. We'll see if this land is as cool and flowing with milk and honey as "promised."

Regardless, for my first time entering into this place let me say, first off, the WiFi in there is amazing. The aesthetic look of the place is top notch. The room is filled with a variety of various seating options that look like they came right out of a modern art museum or for the more common pieces Pier One. The coffee is quite literally a proudly brewed cup of Starbucks. I picked up an Grande Americano w/ a shot of Cinnamon. It's the best cup of coffee I've had all day. I was surprised there are no LU Alumni benefits or discounts over in the little café.

Now I'm trying to figure out why the WiFi in my class room is so much slower and more clumsy than the Tilley Center. I guess it does the trick. : )

  1. I don't get to spend any time there, but it is a really nice atmosphere.

I wish the people running the coffee place knew what they were doing though.
