A speck in the sun defined by crooked lines connected and filled like a vacuum black void
A space to create out of darkness a place in which hopes and dreams were once realized
A small step for man and a leap for mankind bringing all that we know into complete perspective
As we once believed we were gods we walked tall and walked proud as we conquered this blue ball of dirt
Then out into the unknown we launched from our homes and saw just how simple we are
A speck in the sun, just a speck in the one great big universe
Held by hands that created so delicate with passion the world we arrogantly think is our own
With love he breathed life into dust to make man then took a rib for his wife
To walk and commune to be one and bite true but it all fell away with a bite
Because we believed we were gods we walked tall and walked proud
As the dirt we were created from stained us.
